Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 20, 2026 · Google AdSense & Publisher Compliance Standard
Demografics ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy and is dedicated to transparency regarding data collection, cookies, third-party advertising partners, and web telemetry.
1. Information We Collect
Demografics collects non-personal analytical information such as target trade radii queries, anonymized IP locations for geocoding accuracy, and device browser profiles to provide localized US Census demographic reports. When users register for an account, we collect basic contact information (name, business email address, and company affiliation) to authenticate users and persist saved location portfolios.
2. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Cookies
Demografics partners with Google AdSense and third-party advertising vendors to display relevant advertisements across our educational guides, industry articles, and research portals.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads on Demografics based on user visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, users can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or Your Online Choices (EU).
- Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Demografics, which are sent directly to your browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs.
3. US Census Data Sources & Public APIs
Geospatial and demographic calculations presented on Demografics are compiled directly from the official United States Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year Data APIs and public boundary datasets. No personal individual Census responses are accessed, stored, or processed.
4. CCPA/CPRA & GDPR Privacy Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users have the right to request disclosure of what personal data is collected, request data erasure, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Demografics does not sell personal identifying data to any third party.
